It’s true…the best helmet brand is the one that is at your budget, is certified by the industry , and (sorry for being a bit vain) a helmet that makes you look good in (or at least give you the illusion that you do). To me all recognized helmet brands are ALL protective and are made with pretty much the same materials. But the Remedy looks good. Cheers!
I have had many helmets. It all differs from company and model.
I have had a Specialized Helmet and thought I would not want anything else. I then got a Ritchey helmet and thought the same.
Then a Limar, then a Giro. All great helmets.
A helmet with lots of vents is good if you live in a plae that is very hot. In the winter you can always use skull cap to keep your head warm. Pearl Izumi make a great skull cap.
Just make sure it fits properly as that is the only way they will really serve their purpose.
I prefer helmets that have adjustments on it. It ensures a perfect fit everytime.
There is no best. Everyone has different taste in style, fit and comfort, and price. Find one that fits you well, that you like the looks of and that meets your financial requirements. Safety-wise all the major brands are comparable.
I own a Giro. All bike helmets look silly but it’s all about comfort and safety. As someone else said, wearing a helmet is better than no helmet. Just gets one that fits comfortably for the price you want to pay.
Bell is the oldest
Giro is good, but overpriced (lance armstrong thing)
Limar good
specialized nice
LAS is bad a$$
Lazer ok
Garneau good
rudy project *$$
Uvex and Spiuk good stuff
i personally ride the bell sweep R…i like the one hand GPS adjustmet and its the best lookin and lightest helmet out that conforms to all safty regulations. its also reasonably priced too.
The best brand and model is the brand and model that fits your noggin best. Try a bunch, and see which one that is.
How they feel and how you think they look are important. Giro is one of the top bike helmet brands. Depends on how much you want to spend.
All helments are pretty much the same. Like someone mentioned before, make sure it fits.
A helmet is better than no helmet.
I just bought a high in Giro (don’t know the name). It is much lighter and more air passes through it … A good helmet ROCKS!
